Children's story and Illustration workshop with Rochelle and Jessica

We will be listening to stories, enjoying a illustration workshop and looking some of the amazing foods in Rasta Granny's rainbow. Helping us will be the author and illustrator of this fun new book.

Rochelle Falconer was born in Jamaica and raised in Birmingham. With a background in graphic design, she has worked for various design agencies and within the gaming industry. After rediscovering picture books while raising her family, Rochelle now focuses on creating characters and stories that champion representation. Her recent work includes The Best Me! by Marvin Harrison and The Council of Good Friends by Nikesh Shukla.

Jessica Wilson is an author and speaker born to second-generation Jamaican parents in North London. She is the author of the award-winning Sofia the Dreamer and Her Magical Afro and has six books coming between 2026 and 2028. Jessica is currently a lecturer at City Lit, London, specialising in Black British Literature.
