Book Of The Month
Carolynn's Book Of The Month.
"A platonic love story". That's what caught my eye.
There are not enough books that focus on the platonic relationships between women. And one that centres the friendship of Black women? Well, I can think of one other.
I was already a fan of Jessica's writing; after reading the incredible My Name Is Maame. And Love by the Book is an outstanding second novel.
The book centres around Remy and Simone's relationship. You may shed some tears over the amount of love crammed into this book and you'll want to stay with these characters for long after you finish it.
Women are under threat more than ever before, but when I look back on history, it is the unique bond between women that has often helped us survive and thrive in adversity.
March is International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day, so this is a beautiful way to celebrate the women in your life.
Read this yourself, give it as a gift, celebrate women, because they deserve it.
Afrori Books invites you to join us for a double book launch with these outstanding authors

Why can't Black people find a seat at the table?
If the same man sits down takes the menu from the woman without asking and tells her he will be ordering for her, she would be peeved.
