Kelechi Okafor -Children's Event 2nd March Jubilee Library

Afrori Books and Brighton and Hove library invite you to join writer and social commentator, Kelechi Okafor for an inspirational and engaging event based on her heart-warming debut picture-book "Strong Like Me."

Strong Like Me is a heart-warming story that sets out to help children discover their own strengths, champion themselves and be unapologetically secure in who they are. Join Kelechi for a fun and interactive event including a reading, a chance to create your very own story and to ask any questions!

Kelechi Okafor is a Nigerian-born Londoner – a writer, presenter, social commentator and tour de. force in challenging how we think about race, oppression, and femininity. Although Kelechi wears many hats, the head those hats are stylishly perched on is filled with incisive observations about. society, culture, and specifically Black womanhood.
