You may be surprised at how much hate we receive from those who do not want black authors to have a platform. These people don't just have these opinions, they consider it their duty to tell us in detail what their opinions are and what we need to do to fall inline with their way of thinking. Whilst we will not give up or lay down,we still find this wearing and so, we welcome encouraging words that tell us we are making a difference.
How do I get my book into bookshops

Bookshops want to be about 90% sure that they can sell a book before they buy it, so that means that you have to give the bookshop a quality product. Something that stands out qualitatively and fits in beautifully genre-wise.

We have just seen the release of the publishing associations annual diversity survey.
Don’t get me wrong it is good that the publishing industry continue to put this survey out, but the lack of progression really does say that they are not doing much about the results.
